1. Lamentations in Hebrew
Here is the Book of Lamentations in Hebrew (left) with English translation. The Hebrew lines should be read from right to left. Notice the use of acrostic, as well as it's variations. An acrostic follows the Hebrew alphabet, which you can see in chapter one of Lamentations by looking at the first letter of every verse. The first chapter is a perfect acrostic, going from the first to the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet (22 letters).
